RGS Meetings 2009/2010
The Rochester Genealogical Society meets monthly, except July, August, and December, usually on the third Thursday of the month. The meetings are held in the Fellowship Hall (downstairs) of the Asbury First United Methodist Church, 1050 East Avenue, Rochester, NY (see map). The meetings start with a short program at 7:00 p.m., followed by a short business meeting and a refreshment break, and then a main program beginning at 8:00 p.m. and ending about 9:00 p.m.
Beginner's Consultations
Beginner's Consultations begin in September
Just starting in genealogy? Not sure what to do next? Don't understand what you've already got? This is for you. Beginning in September, a consultation opportunity for beginning genealogists will be offered as an alternative to the short program. Each month, one of our more experienced members will be available in the anteroom at the back of the hall during the short program. Take your research notes and/or your questions to the consultant-of-the-day and quietly get your research back on track. Remember that no question is too trivial.
